A new partnership between the Bureau du taxi de Montréal (BTM) and the Cool Taxi initiative

MONTREAL, Dec. 19, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ – On December 18, the Comité provincial de concertation et de développement de l’industrie du taxi(CPDCIT) celebrated a new partnership with the Bureau du taxi de Montréal (BTM) for its Cool Taxi initiative. Among other things, this alliance will permit the approval of vehicle wraps in the program’s colours. This is a first in Montreal’s taxi industry: Several cars will criss-cross city streets to remind everyone to plan for their safe return home after celebrations involving alcohol. Cool Taxi is an initiative started by the fathers of three teenage girls who were severely wounded in 2010 in an accident involving impaired driving. Present at the event were, left to right :Radwan Azzan, taxi driver, Tony Di Tullio, representative of limousine license’s owners, Elsie Lefebvre, city councillor, Coalition Montréal,Denise Vaillancourt, STM, representative of the corporate clientele, André Leclerc, Kéroul, representative for customer with functional limitations, Érika Duchesne, city councillor, Projet Montréal, Aref Salem, president of the Bureau du taxi de Montréal, Benoit Jugand, general manager of the Bureau du taxi de Montréal, Nicola Di Iorio, one of the three Cool Taxi founding fathers, Benoit Vallé, representative of service intermediaries, Dory Saliba, chairman of the CPCDIT board and Cool Taxi founding member, Julcius Séide, representative of taxi driver licences, Wilson Jean-Paul, representative of taxi license’s owners and Mokrane Krimed, taxi driver.
